This role will be responsible for the production and analysis of a wide variety of accurate and timely financial reports to aid in business decisions, with detailed commentary to both a financial and non-financial audience. Managing and controlling budgets and rolling forecasts will be a key function, along with establishing KPI’s and identifying cost saving opportunities. DPR and Merlin reporting will require submissions on a weekly, monthly, half yearly and annual basis.
The job holder must ensure that the appropriate financial procedures and controls are in place and are being adhered to at all times without exception. Supporting the implementation and maintenance of an extremely controlled environment whilst working in cooperation with Internal Audit is critical to the success of the team.
Preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows and forecasts
Variance analysis and identification of key business trends
Allocated balance sheet reconciliations including deferred revenue
Reporting detailed daily/weekly revenue and visitor attendance in line with DPR and Merlin reporting requirements
Providing a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions by interpretation of analysis
Monitoring the performance of individual units and ensuring spend is kept in line with the budget
Analyse operational data, identify process inefficiencies and recommend process improvements which lead to tangible business benefits
Develop effective business relationships throughout the organization in order to successfully collaborate and deliver key deliverables, including recurring management reporting
Analysing financial performance and contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts
Assisting and cooperating with internal and external audit throughout the year
Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions
Ad-hoc reporting requirements and information requests
Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong technical accounting skills and confidence working with IFRS
Ability to demonstrate up to date knowledge of IFRS
At least 5 years relevant finance experience
Supervisory experience is preferable
EPOS Systems experience preferable
Advanced level – Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong organizational skills, problem solving and attention to detail
Requires strong analytical and decision making skills
Ability to work under time constraints and know how to prioritise workload
Self -starter who can work independently and use their own initiative
Motivated and ambitious team player with a positive outlook
ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualified or in the last stage of qualification
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business or closely related field
