Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking an experienced an Senior Resident Engineer who
provides direction and management of project and ensures on-schedules
completion on time and within budget in and accordance with AECOM contractual
Be responsible to monitor and control the construction activities.
Understand the duties and responsibilities of the Engineer as detailed in the Contract- General Contractors Conditions of Contract- Division 1 and other relevant project documents.
Fulfil the role of Assistant Engineer as delegated in writing by the Engineer
Assist in the development of policies- procedures and flowcharts that will be used to assure that the construction activities proceed in an orderly manner and in accordance with the project contracts- specifications- drawings-

Propose- mentor- manage and appraise staff member within the team. Set tasks and organize responsibilities. Monitor performance and take necessary measures to assure that all team players contribute effectively to the projects overall objective.

Schedule and organize a suitable meetings strategy. Assure key topics such as progress- submittals- quality- safety- coordination etc. are addressed and a forum is established for Contractor and Consultant to discuss routine issues.

Assist Project Controls Department assess impact of changes which occur during the construction.

Oversee the review of submittals conducted by the Design Consultant and other team members. Direct emphasis onto critical issues as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 12-15 years of related senior construction supervision / management experience on Building Projects

Be able to lead and motivate a team of Engineers

Client focused- ability to engage in discussions with high profile clients

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of computer systems and their applications

Knowledge of financial reports and systems

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Highly responsive to changing demands

Excellent leadership and motivational skills

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors Degree related construction field- plus membership of a recognized professional institution preferred.

Specific Project Management training and qualification

Membership of a Chartered Institution (MICE/ MCIOB/ MRICS preferred)
