Job Summary
One of our key business lines is Water – Wet Services which is currently
expanding due to a number of recent high profile project wins that will add to
our already impressive portfolio of nationally and internationally significant
projects. We are looking for ambitious- hardworking- enthusiastic Civil
Engineering graduates who have computational- mathematical and design skills.
Our graduates work on a variety of projects- from concept design to
implementation for clients who operate either locally- nationally or
internationally. AECOM is an internationally recognised leader in water – wet
utilities consultancy- giving our clients a range of services includin

planning- design project management and asset support services.

The Water – Wet Services team delivers a range of different projects acros

the globe working with national and local governments- authorities and private
organisations. Our graduates work on projects from initial concept through
detailed design to construction- fulfilling diverse design- project
management- stakeholder engagement- business innovation as well as technical
and site assurance roles. Working as an AECOM graduate engineer requires
collaborative behaviours- as our integrated projects often bring together
teams of specialists to deliver for our clients.

Job Duties:

Assist water engineers in daily planning and design tasks of wet utilities (potable water- fire fighting- sewerage/wastewater- stormwater- irrigation- gas).

Undertake demand calculations for potable water and wastewater- irrigation for new developments in the UAE and GCC.

Storm water management assessment- calculations and planning for new developments

Design of pressurized systems for potable water and firefighting

Design of conveyance networks for sewerage and stormwater

Design or primary and secondary irrigation systems

Prepare/assist with design drawings (coordinate with CAD designers) and design reports for wet utilities through various design stages (concept- preliminary- detailed design and IFC)

Assist with Authorities approval of wet utilities

Minimum Requirements

BEng in Civil Engineering with a 2:2 (or equivalent) classification or above

MEng or MSc in Civil Engineering would be an advantage

Enthusiasm- hard-working- technically proficient- with ambition and drive to become Chartered Engineer

Demonstration of the desire to create opportunity or make the most of opportunities to develop academic- engineering or life experiences.

Basic computer skills essential (Word/Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

Maths and Sciences A-Levels (or equivalent) would be advantageous- at grade ‘B` or above

CAD and/or Revit would be advantageous

Relevant Industry related work experience would be advantageous
