An Operations Analyst is responsible for performing primary research|
developing and reporting key performance indicators (KPI) and providing
insights regarding the performance of property operations initiatives and
marketing initiatives| including but not limited to| campaigns| competitors|
customers and current promotions. Analyzes data and recommends opportunities
for continuous improvement.
The Successful Applicant:
Ideally will have a degree in Hotel Management or Financial subject.
Will have some operational experience working within a hotel.
Help prepare hotel budgets and financial plans
Produce monthly reports analyze current/potential market and sales trends| to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan.
Review monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends.
Work closely with key business leaders
What will I be doing?
Conduct in-depth analysis on property operational and marketing promotional campaigns and assessing effectiveness| measuring return on investment and identifying trends and opportunities
Perform market research projects| including competitive analysis
Support and provide consultation for the improvement of operating efficiencies including: increased revenue| expense management| effective use of resources| and customer service in cooperation with property division leaders
Organize data| identify issues| and propose solutions with assignments and timelines.
Identify positive financial outcomes to increase profitability
Analyze feedback| identify opportunities for improvement and work with property/department leadership to establish standards and methods for service improvement and operational process/flow to ensure efficiencies.
Evaluate market penetration studies within the hotel databases
Manage market segmentation| positioning exercises and targeting required
Design and manage process for collecting/tabulating performance data analyzing trends| identifying valuable insights and reporting findings/recommendations property-wide
Maintain working knowledge of database marketing concepts
Assist operations from time to time as needed| to gain insights into campaign effectiveness; this includes Promotions| Special Events and Public Relations
Work with marketing operators| by supporting team with metrics and ad hoc analysis
Ensure quality| timely| efficient execution of analysis| ad hoc requests and dissemination of findings
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company internal controls| policies and procedures| Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company|s guest service culture standards
Ability to analyze the duty roster of operational department for Labor Management system (LMS).

in RAK. Ensuring that performance management and reporting tools are leveraged

Comfortable with supporting the delivery of a multichannel customer operation|
Produces reports and shares insights with diverse stakeholder groups| expertly articulating requirements| expectations and outcomes
Immersing themselves in the detail| provides support to the team with forecasting and scheduling| and is a key facilitator implementing change programs.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Possesses resilience and a collaborative solution-driven approach to promote continuous improvement.
Produce monthly revenue and strategy reports for all the hotels.
Develop and implement strategies to ensure revenue and room night sales goals for the properties are achieved.
Tactical plans are created and implemented and results are monitored and achieved.
Help define key metrics| identify and analyse performance trends| design and manage sales territories| decompose business drivers and levers| and investigate factors impacting organisational success.
5 + years prior experience working in same or similar role preferred
Prior experience working in hotel industry required
Prior experience reading| analyzing| and interpreting buying patterns and various hotel occupancy reports
Proven successful experience maintaining appropriate labor costs and increasing revenue
Proven experience providing high level of guest service
Exceptional attention to detail
Effective leadership| time management and organizational skills
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills| with effective financial reporting/analysis and cost benefit analysis required
Able to effectively communicate in small groups| as well as on an individual-basis
Previous experience using the following computer programs – MS Word| MS Excel| MS Project| MS PowerPoint| MS Access| LMS and familiarity with any other statistical software.
Bachelor|s Degree in Hotel Management or related area preferred
Able to effectively communicate in English| both written and verbal
