Job Description :

_Job responsibilities will include| but not limited to the following:_

Communicate effectively both internally and externally to achieve positive results always presenting yourself in a 5 star manner
Manage hotel supply of collateral i.e. all displays to have the latest collateral displayed
Process all paper work relating to PR/Media requests for accommodation/ restaurant reservations etc
Note any media VIP arrivals| communicate and ensure these are listed on the Daily Sales Sheet
Meet journalists or media as requested by Director of Marketing & Innovation.
Keep brochure content up to date and ensure accurate proof reading
Help with any translations that are required and getting the relevant sign off of hotel collateral
Manage prompt input of purchase requests and corresponding invoices relating to advertising| media| publishing| graphic design etc
Complete and maintain up to date files for the PR department
Handle all telephone and e-mail enquiries relating to advertising | photo shoots| information requests| etc
Maintain files for all barter agreements
Handle Monthly PR reports along with Media impressions and coverage achieved
Keep Records of all PR coverage
Have a good working knowledge of both The Westin and Le Meridien brand standards
Keep updated on new information relating to the above brands and good working knowledge of The Starwood archive and brand standards
Maintain up to date Media contacts data base
Attend meetings as required by the Director of Marketing & Innovations
Follow all specified policies and procedures in the hotel
Assist Director of Marketing & Innovation in co-coordinating and implementing events such as press conferences| media evenings and functions| etc
Prepare all press packs
Meet with advertisers as require by the Director of Marketing & Innovations
Assist with photo and film shoots taking place at the hotel
Liaise with external PR company (as appointed by the hotel)
Liaise with external marketing company (as appointed by the hotel)
Seek out any PR opportunities that can be used to the hotels advantage
Project manage any Marketing activations as required
Ensure all Press Releases are sent to press timeously
Work with DFM team for content for websites
Proof reading of all collateral and website information
Distribute promotional material to all hotel employees so they are informed of events
Oversee restaurant and hotel reviews ensuring all journalists are met and taken care of
Work closely with Social Media Executive to ensure social media content is up to date


_To move into this position you should have_

Good understanding of new developments| best practices & trends on Marketing strategies & strong experience in managing Marketing communications.

Excellent knowledge of hospitality industry/service-related industry| ideally in F&B. PR experience is a plus.

Strong communication & copywriting skills

Previous Public Relations skills in Industry

Ability to easily connect with people and to continually find new ways to engage & source new conversation starters.

Ability to multi-task & work with several teams

Fluent in English| both written & spoken
