Job Summary
This role is a contract role until Jan 2020.
In charge of leading and managing the Buildings and Places (B+P) Team within
the Digital Project Delivery (DPD) group. In charge of implementation of
digital technologies (BIM and related tools and processes) to enhance existing
processes- improve efficiency and quality of design. Interface with Middle
East DPD Lead- B+P Practice Line Directors and VP to provide input- feedback
and updates on project BIM delivery targets- training programs- and
recruitment requirements. Client interfacing both on projects and in

business development capacity. Required to contribute and engage with industr

events and publications around BIM use- both locally and internationally.

Job Duties:

Manages DPD team members including BIM Managers and Coordinators;

In charge of BIM implementation on major projects;

Develops and implements strategy for Digital Transformation within the Buildings + Places business line;

Researches new tools and processes to improve project delivery;

Responsible for BIM Standards- templates- libraries- etc. to enable efficient use of digital tools;

Provides input into bids; methodology and deployments;

Responsible for project deployments;

Performs performance appraisals for their team;

Reviews and signs-off of Project BIM Execution Plans;

Interface with Clients on major projects;

BIM Healthy Starts on projects internally;

Development and oversight of project delivery team training programs for Digital/BIM applications and processes;

Provides regular updates on team and project performance to DPD Lead and B+P Director.

Must be versed in local industry BIM Initiatives and internationally recognised BIM initiatives- standards- protocols and mandates like BS1192 and ISO19650;

General knowledge of integrated architectural and engineering practice;

Must be self-motivated- detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills;

Ability to set priorities in an efficient and timely manner to meet essential job functions;

Knowledge of programming- Revit APIs (Dynamo scripting- Python- C#- etc.) is a plus.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 12 years post undergraduate experience;

Min 3-5 years in a similar role for major design consultancy;

Min 5-7 years project delivery experience;

Min 5-7 years hands-on BIM experience;

Experience in cross-discipline project delivery (not one single practice line);

Middle East/UAE project delivery experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

B.Sc in Construction Management or Engineering or B.Arch

Internationally recognized BIM training certificates are a plus.

Our Abu Dhabi office is currently seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer/ Planner
to join our SP&A Team. We are now looking to enhance and grow this team with
individuals who have a sound technical background and share our enthusiasm and
determination to support our expanding workload. The role would suit a
proactive- enthusiastic and self-motivated individual looking to advance their
career in a dynamic team. This position would ideally suit someone with a
transport planning and traffic modelling background and will be responsible
for providing technical service and support in a variety of the SP&A service
offerings- but with particular responsibility for traffic and transportation
planning.

Job Details:

Effectively lead and contribute to transport planning and traffic engineering project tasks for various transport studies.

Takes the lead on relevant projects and/or main project tasks.

Provide development control- spatial planning and transport strategy advice.

Be responsible for the delivery of relevant project reports.

Be aware of and adhere to relevant legislation- codes of practice and departmental policies when planning and delivering transportation and traffic engineering related projects in the region.

Continuously improve technical and industry knowledge by participating in forums and other industry related programs.

Research- analyse and report on a range of transportation and traffic engineering related projects.

Act as Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager as necessary including monitoring of financial and team performance.

Develop project plans and detailed methodologies together with technical leader.

Ensuring appropriate local resourcing levels for project work to be delivered efficiently.

Provide technical support and supervision to junior staff.

Specific Skills Required:

Good understanding of industry transportation planning and traffic engineering practices- including the underlying principles sufficient to carry out and lead transport studies

Working knowledge of GIS packages such as ArcGIS and MapInfo will be an advantage

A clear appreciation and understanding of fundamental transportation planning principles

Good report writing and presentational skills

Member of one of more professional organisations as asset (e.g. Charted Institute of Logistics and Transportation- PEng- PE).

Abu Dhabi work experience is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors Degree Level Qualification or higher in Engineering or a related discipline (mandatory).

Masters Degree – Transport related (preferred).
