We are currently recruiting for a Network Engineer for our trusted client to be based out of their headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
Role Purpose-
Responsible for all network and technology implementation and administration of Network and IP telephony infrastructure and security devices with a view to providing reliable, highly secure and seamless real-time access of information to end users.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Capacity Management-
Support the Chief Officer IT Operations in the process of capacity, configuration and release of IT infrastructure services in accord to defined timelines and policy standards to support business process and user requirements.
Contribute to the process of operational capacity and availability for all network devices.
Conduct technical analysis of network devices.
IT Infrastructure Design and Implementation-
Ensure that the IT infrastructure design is in line with the enterprise architecture.
Implement network infrastructure in line with the best in class practices to ensure high levels of system performance and availability for end users.
Implement and administer network proxies, remote access and site to site VPNs that connect third party networks.
Implement and administer remote access connectivity and wireless network to ensure internal users get easy and secure access to IT network.
Network Security
Ensure that GCAA’s IT network has necessary controls and security in place to restrict unauthorised access and cyber intrusion.
Implement and administer network admission control system
Ensure all proprietary data and information available over the IT infrastructure is secure through state of the art encryption, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems.
Ensure infrastructure security by implementing identity management system such as RSA, Tacas+, LDAP etc.,
Implement and administer firewalls, intrusion prevention system, application security manager and network load balancers.
Enforce the network security policy and comply with requirements of internal and external security audits and recommendations.
Unified Communications
Implement all IP-based technology systems for voice, video collaboration and data to enhance communication across GCAA whilst reducing associated costs.
Implement and administer routers, switches, lease lines and PRI lines.
Infrastructure Administration
Manage the administration of IT systems, solutions and technologies to the required standards. Analyse, troubleshoot and correct network, IP telephony problems to resolve operational problems timely and efficiently.
Lead the effective administration of various IT databases identifying errors in the database and ensuring timely resolution of same to maintain an error-free database with high reliability of data.
Provide helpdesk support services to facilitate smooth functioning of the GCAA’s business processes and resolution of issues faced by end users
Schedule and monitor backups for all network and security devices.
Infrastructure Integration with stakeholders
Provide Level 3 support to all network, IP telephony, wireless and security devices in collaboration with partners
Implement and administer secure remote access SSL VPNs for partners and Government agencies.
Implement and administer MPLS Network for branch office connectivity
Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
Implement all activities listed for BCP and DR procedures with respect to IT systems so that the IT systems can be reinstated in a timely and integral manner in the event of a disaster.
Infrastructure Monitoring and Analysis
Continuously monitor the performance of :
Network devices like routers, switches, firewall and IP telephony devices.
Network, voice and security devices.
WAN/Internet links utilisation and optimising bandwidth by implementing QoS.
Documentation and Reports
Update network diagrams and records in the Central Repository for IT portal.
Update new and existing network, voice and security projects documentation.
Support contracts renewals of network and security devices.
Submit timely reports for monthly performance KPIs.
Skills
Knowledge and Experience:
Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication
Should have at least 5-7 years experience in similar role
Clear understanding of network, wireless, IP telephony and security concepts in IT Infrastructure.
Strong experience in networking devices like Cisco routers, switches and F5 load balancers.
Strong experience in security products like Juniper Firewalls, SSL VPNs, F5 ASM, Fortigate & IPS.
Strong experience in IP telephony products like Cisco Call Mangers, Cisco Voice Gateways, Cisco Unified communication devices and IP phones.
Knowledge of ITIL process.
Strong experience of wireless controllers, light weight access points, conducting wireless site surveys
Strong experience in interior routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF.
Knowledge of exterior routing protocols like BGP.
Knowledge of WAN technologies like MPLS, lease lines.
Knowledge of IP addressing.
Strong experience in LAN switching, VLAN, VTP and STP protocols.
Certification on Cisco CCNP (composite) in routing and switching, Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA), Cisco voice network (CCNA) is a must.
Extensive experience in handling LAN and WAN operations, network design and extending the network, MPLS IP VPN network, routing and switching, Cisco ASA/PIX, Juniper SSG Firewalls, IP-Sec VPN Security, network access control, wireless networking, and Cisco unified communications, DNS, DHCP, and active directory on Windows platform.
Extensive experience in management of data centre operations, networks and systems.
Excellent knowledge of maintenance, implementation, design and management of heterogeneous network infrastructure.
Good working knowledge of installation, configuration and administration of Clustered Windows Server (with OS/Application level clustering and load balancing) including management of web site. Installation and troubleshooting Windows 2003/2008 Servers.
Excellent knowledge of management of various services like DNS, domain controllers, active directory, and SQL database including for web based application programs, IIS, Trend Micro Antivirus and Scan Mail for Exchange, IMSS SMTP Gateway, IWSS web filtering.
Hands-on experience of maintaining and handling Exchange Server 2007/2010, Black Berry Enterprise Solution, EMC SAN, networker backup solution.
Excellent in managing, collecting and maintaining Arc Sight environment log from all the devices including servers network and applications day to day monitoring of the critical logs and coordinate along with network and server administrator for the events.
Good knowledge of managing Op Manager monitoring solution for all IT infrastructure devices.
Good understanding of the development of content for Arc Sight ESM, including correlation rules, dashboards, reports, visualisations.
Excellent understanding of the monitoring and creating weekly reports of all the devices through Op Manager and Arc Sight
Hands on experience of installation and maintenance of security infrastructure, including IPS, IDS, log management, and security assessment systems.
