The Civil Technician is to carry out the installation, modification and repair of building fabric and structures including wall, floor and ceilings. Key accountabilities

Lead a team of Rail OT Cybersecurity Senior Techniciansto carry out all OT-related cybersecurity preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) activities and minor modifications on Rail OT Systems machines to include but limited to, servers, workstations, desktops and laptops. Some of these systems are installed along trackside, whilst others can be found in stations and still some others in depots;
Respond to Cyber Threats from the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC), NMOC or Maintenance Centre and control the impact;
Build robust processes to combat Human intervention;
Audit the Rail Systems to provide reports on IT/OT misuse under the guidance of Engineering department;
Competent in Cybersecurity threat Management;
Able to run full scenarios for system lock downs due to Cyber threat;
Building of, handling the change and implementation of new procedures;
Audits of all Rail Systems and its use within Engineering;
Act, contain and recommend actions from Cyber threats;

Essential technical and professional skills, knowledge and qualifications

Skills

must have good eyesight and normal colour vision
strong analytical mind, and ability to grasp the complexity of a software based signaling and train control system
ability to use and calibrate various electronic test equipment and PC for the maintenance of central, wayside and on-board signaling equipment
ability to write simple technical reports, routine business correspondence, prepare method statements and drawings as required
possess good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
strong organisational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities
preferably a holder of a valid UAE driving license with good driving skill and experience

Experience

minimum 3 years work experience as a qualified electrical or electronics technician in maintaining and repairing computer based train control and signaling equipment, covering interlocking, onboard equipment, train detection equipment, switch machine, automatic train protection, automatic train supervision of equipment is highly preferable
preferably with 1 year of supervisory experience in supervising a team of technicians in carrying out maintenance activities

Knowledge

sound knowledge of signaling principles, fixed block and moving block signaling systems, software based interlocking devices, point machines, induction and docking loops, cab signaling displays, on-board and wayside signaling equipment, would be a definite advantage
preferably with IRSE license and certified to work on railway signaling equipment

Qualification

vocational trade certificate or ordinary diploma in electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent
