Play Your Part
In this role you will be responsible to assumes the responsibility of scheduling the makeup training sessions, the makeup reviews for existing performers, as well as assisting with makeup for promotional events and photo shoots while respecting the artistic integrity of the show. The Makeup, Hair, & Wig Technician prioritizes the fittings and daily maintenance of wigs and headpieces, and maintains the stocking of makeup and wig products for the run of the shows. The Makeup, Hair, & Wig Technician is responsible for informing supervisors of fitting request and scheduling issues; along with purchase request of makeup and wig supplies needed to maintain daily operations and values of Dubai Parks and Resorts.

Main Duties:

Required to have a strong back ground in practical makeup techniques and wig construction, to manage the maintenance of the show makeup, wig setting, wig dressing, cleaning, sewing, and repairs etc.

Create, maintain and update the Makeup, Hair, and Wig “Look” Books and all related documentation.

Assist in the development of the makeup, hair, and wig applications, maintenance, repair, and cleaning procedures.

Manage the daily distribution of makeup and wig related items to designated areas, while keeping accurate records.

Assist with organization of Cast Change over and integration of new makeup products, wigs, and headpieces into the shows.

Know and update all Makeup and Wig tracks; assist with training new team members and artist.

Notify Supervisor immediately of any damage to the wigs, headpieces, or makeup show related issues.

Respect and Adhere to Deadlines.

Efficiently communicate and disperse information with management, artist, and team members.

Support all Departmental Rules and Artists Policies report any issues to the Supervisor on Duty.

Adhere to and enforce Health and Safety Policies and Participate in all required safety classes.

Are You a Star?
In order to be qualified for this role you should possess the below criteria:

Essential:

A recognized diploma or degree, in Cosmetology, Beauty Makeup, or Related Fields

2 years’ experience in a professional theme park, theatre or cruise line

3 years’ experience in an entertainment related workplace

Makeup application and hygiene

Knowledge of wig construction methods, care, and maintenance

Knowledge of Photoshop, Excel, Word, and Outlook

Desirable:

Certifications of further studies or educational upgrades relevant to the field of work

2 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial position

Certifications for training, participation and licenses relevant to the field of work
