Job Summary
The Graduate EIA Consultant will deliver consultancy and advisory services to
both internal and external clients to a high level of technical quality and to
program and budget.
Job Duties:
Assist in the management of and support in the delivery of EIA projects to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard
Understand and implement project management principles and fully appreciate the need to work within project budgets
Assist in the project management and preparation of project documents including Scoping Reports and related technical studies in accordance with project timescales
Assist in the production of Environmental Statement (ES) Chapters- and Non-Technical Summaries

Analyse data effectively and carry out desk based studies and site visits when required

Participate in team meetings- client briefs and other meetings as and when required

Prioritise project actions and meet commitments on an on-going basis while taking ownership and responsibility for the quality and completion of work

Produce EIA Programmes- Briefing Notes and other AECOM Project Management Tools

Interact with the EIA and wider Planning team to ensure the smooth running of projects

Keep up to date with relevant environmental legislation- policy and guidance

Research issues as part of the EIA process and to provide ideas- solutions and expertise to the EIA team.

Support business development through the production of Expressions of Interest and tenders- and to continuously improve our service offering for our clients

Understand and comply with quality and health & safety requirements and ensure these are addressed throughout a project

Mentor and develop more junior colleagues with the support of the wider EIA and Planning team

Minimum Requirements

High level of attention to detail

Strong focus on safety standards

Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to work autonomously and without supervision

Strong technical writing ability

Demonstrated time management and organisational skills

A strong sense of commitment- a willingness to learn- and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Science- preferably minimum 2.2 award

0-12 months work experience

The preference is to be chartered with a relevant professional body or demonstrate you are working towards this status.

Job Summary
AECOM`s Middle East and Africa Environment team is looking to recruit an ESIA
professional to join our South African team. In particular- we are looking for
an individual with experience in working on ESIAs within the extractives-
infrastructure and related sectors- preferably on international projects for
global clients. The successful candidate will have a track-record of
successful project delivery and client management- with strong technical
skills. Past experience in the direction and management of baseline studies
and technical assessments completed by sub-contractors beneficial.

that will be able to take a key project delivery role within a vibrant and
diverse team; helping us to continue to deliver a high quality service to
existing clients and to expand our market share in new and developing
geographies and services.

Our Environment & Planning business comprises currently comprises over 25
people and is rapidly to service significant projects in the region. We have
offices in Centurion- Durban- Cape Town- Dubai- Abi Dhabi- Bahrain- Doha-
Riyadh- Jeddah and Al Khobar.

We provide support to clients at all stages of the development process-
including feasibility- optioneering- promotion through planning and project
implementation.

Our ESIA teams often work very closely with our engineering and design
colleagues- who are delivering the sort of exciting projects you would expect
from a global environmental and engineering consultancy with a reputation for
developing and implementing innovative solutions to the world`s most complex
challenges.

We have an enviable client base which includes major international companies-
including Eskom- SANRAL- Prasa- TCTA- Transnet- GSEZ- Dubai Ports World- BP-

Rovuma ESIA update to international standards including repeating selected base level studies and development of EMP`s with EXXON Mobil.

Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the following
illustrative roles and responsibilities:

Assist in the production of ESIA Work Plans- Survey Execution Plans and other Project Management documents as required

Keep up to date with relevant environmental legislation- policy and guidance

Research issues as part of the ESIA process and to provide ideas- solutions and expertise to the ESIA team

Support business development through assistance with the production of Expressions of Interest and tenders- and to continuously improve our service offering for our clients

Understand and comply with quality and health & safety requirements and ensure these are addressed throughout a projec

Minimum Requirements

Experience in ESIA in the oil and gas and/or infrastructure sector

Highly motivated and able to work with limited direction

Excellent technical and communication skills

Competency in a second language- spoken including French- Russian- Spanish or Arabic- would be advantageous.

You will be required to travel internationally- occasionally at short notice- but will be UK based.

Preferred Qualifications

You will have a good first degree and a second degree in an appropriate environmental- scientific or engineering discipline.
