POSITION PURPOSE

As Housekeeping Supervisor in the department you will be responsible to overview the room attendants, public areas and as a team achieve the operational and financial targets while ensuring that the standards of cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel meet the requirements specified.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Daily supervision of room Attendants or public areas attendants to ensure the delivery of our standards.

Have knowledge of the property, hotel, staff and services including hours of operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai.

An advanced degree is required (Msc. or pHd.)
At least 15 years of work experience in the fields of environmental engineering and environmental project management with a civil engineering / infrastructure development company.
At least 8 years of directly related work experience in the GCC.
Advanced degree in environmental science, environmental engineering or related natural sciences discipline from a recognized university.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
Excellent technical writing skills in the English language.
Capable of producing high quality documents in terms of grammar, composition, formatting, layout, spelling and organization.
Detail-oriented and thorough, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Capable of working independently to research, analyze and accurately solve techical problems.
Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams to provide technical environmental input.
Experience working with local environmental authorities and interfacing with client representatives.
Experience with managing environmental consultancy projects including environmental impact assessments, environmental engineering and feasibility studies, environmental monitoring and survey activities.
Driving license.

· Responsible for all contractual matters related to Abu Dhabi assigned Projects and report directly to T&I Sector Manager for Abu Dhabi.
 
· Capable of carrying out dispute resolution, trouble shooting and problem solving, especially involving financial matters
 
· Review and prepare claim reports with findings and recommendations
 
· Provide advice and direction with regard to Contractor’s claim and letters.
 
· Negotiate and clarify contractual requirements in meetings with consultants and contractors.

· Review, Identify and comment on Variation Orders.
 
· Review, negotiate and settle disputes.
 
· Manage a team of both pre and post contract commercial staff;

Develop and improve current sector commercial setup in line with Regional Commercial Managers plan
Requires 4-year degree in Engineering or Equivalent Qualification from a recognized University/Institute.
Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) or equivalent memberships.
Minimum 15 years’ experience in Contract Administrative works in transportation and/or Infrastructure projects. Must be capable of performing the duties and responsibilities stated above.
Requires leadership and good communication skills.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
