Job Description
We are currently looking for dynamic and self motivated Laundry professionals who want to move their careers forward.
As a Laundry Supervisor you are responsible to ensure that laundry service, required by our guest is met on time and with the highest possible standards, whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:

•Assist Laundry Manager in enforcing policies, procedures, rules and regulations as per hotel standards

•Supervise and monitor the performance of the laundry employees in order to maintain established standards and provide efficient service to the guests

•Responsible for proper handling of guest and house laundry and establish standards and procedures to ascertain quality of work performed

•Liaise with linen room to ensure that there is adequate clean linen and uniforms and maintain a neat work area

•Follow up with engineering department on preventive maintenance and repair orders

•Check daily production according to priorities and assist in the activities of the maker

•Counter checks that all items processed are spotlessly clean as per hotel standards and guest satisfaction

•Ensure that laundry employees are knowledgeable about hotel services and facilities.

Skills
Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally have a degree or a vocational training within the laundry operation and previous experience in a similar role. Good command of written and verbal English communication skills are essentials and computer knowledge is an added advantage.

A Housekeeping Attendant will support all Housekeeping and Laundry with guest requests analyzing each request and delegating between the team members, so that work can be done in an efficient and timely manner ensuring an exceptional experience for our Guests.
 
What will I be doing?

As Housekeeping Attendant, you will support all Housekeeping and Laundry team for all aspects by delegating the day-to-day activities Housekeeping and Laundry within the hotel. Specifically, a Housekeeping Attendant will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

Ensure consistently high operating standards in every area of Housekeeping and Laundry, as identified by the hotel brand standards
Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of all Housekeeping and Laundry Team Members with an emphasis on training and team work
Provide excellent guest service
Actively works on availability and release of Rooms for Guest Service along with Floor Housekeeping Supervision
Manages the controls of the Housekeeping department, such as: frequency of employees, release of master keys, book incident, input and output input and output uniform and linen, among others
Responsible for checking daily the guest information in CRM and ensure that the preferences and requests of the same are met on time
Request flowers for special occasions (marriage, death, maternity …). Besides providing embroidery for special linen (wedding and pampering)
Control makes monthly Lost and Found and donations
Check the uniforms and send for cleaning and / or repair
Coordinates and controls all traffic of documents and people within the department. Does releases linen of Laundry daily
Makes daily guest clothing release of guests that use the laundry service
Makes monthly closing of Laundry expenses and provision of same
Replaces (a) Laundry Attendant in case of holidays, days off or absences

Job Summary and Responsibilities

• Load linen trolley, which is ready to send to hotel.
• Unload those, which are coming from hotel and Baan Dusit.
• Sort out all soiled linens into different wash load.
• Makes sure all linen should be weighed in the weighing scale before loading them into the washing machine.
• Use correct method and formula for wash process.
• Use correct operating procedure of all types of machine in the laundry.
• Bed linens and F&B Linens should be pressed in flat work ironer after washing.
• Towels are loaded into the dryers. Make sure to adjust the proper timing and dryer lint filter is cleaned every two hours.
• All the guest and staff laundry check and tag to be done in marking the machine.

• Make sure all the guest laundry are checked and packed properly before delivery to the hotel.

• Fold all bed linens, F&B linens and towels according to the standard of the hotel.
• Stack all linens properly into the linen trolleys for transport to the hotel.
• Make sure that staff uniforms are properly done and sent to staff linen.
• All management laundry to be done and check thoroughly according to the reference number.
• All guest’ laundry bills are to be posted correctly.
• Those who drive the laundry vehicle must follow safety procedures.
• Make sure that the vehicle is clean and in good running condition at all times.
• Maintain transport record daily and hand it over to the laundry supervisor.
• Keep proper accounting and recording of all items and send it to the hotel.
• Keep the department and machinery clean at all times.
• Follow-up fire and safety procedures in the department.
• To attend the trainings carried out by the hotel management.
• Carry out other duties as directed/ requested by laundry manager and supervisor..

•Answer phone calls promptly, following proper telephone etiquettes as trained and per the standards

•Ensure that guest services are met on time and that urgent requirements are done promptly

•Record all calls, room number, time of call and the name of the valet, who attended the call, in the logbook

•Receive outside guest and employee garments and pass them on for processing

•Inspect and sort cleaned items according to set procedures and make them ready for delivery or pick up after verifying they have been properly processed

•Mend all guest garments and ensure that all broken / missing buttons are replaced

•Record the laundry charges on the list and post the amount to guest account by using the micros machine

•Report any loss or damage of fixtures and equipment to the Laundry Manager
