The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina Peaceful retreat settled on Jumeirah Beach, the resort offers the perfect destination for the entire family to unwind and recharge with a breath-taking array of recreation activities, and close proximity to major Dubai local attractions. The Banquets Department is responsible for the set up and delivery of all fucntions within the features over 15,600 square feet of function space for events of 2 to 1,500 guests. The resort boasts an Italian-designed conference centre with 7 state-of-the-art meeting and conference venues, in addition to an 8,838-square-foot ballroom for up to 1,200 guests. They will work closely with the Events Team and Kitchen to ensure that all Brands Standards and Westin Service Delivery is met

Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

· To positively contribute to the sales activities within your department/hotel and maximize sales opportunities and to be knowledgeable of company products.

To give full cooperation to any client or colleagues requiring assistance in a prompt, caring and helpful manner.
To treat all client and colleagues in a polite and courteous manner at all time.
Sets clear personal development targets which focus on behavioral improvement as much as professional/ technical skills.
To achieve action points arising out of 6 month appraisal.

To move into this position you should have

· Excellent command of the English language speaking, reading and writing

Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Multiple language ability, an advantage
Smart in appearance and well groomed
Good interpersonal skills
Hotel / High school or equivalent education required
Micros knowledge would an advantage
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and beverage
Thorough knowledge of food products
Multiple shifts with long hours should be expected
