Be aware of and develop marketing opportunities and where appropriate bring to the attention of Directors and the Business Development Department, in order that they may assist in following up potential leads enabling the development of new business.

Minimum Requirements

Significant relevant UAE experience in the Commercial Market with experience and training within a PQS Consultancy firm(s) / business.
Preferred Qualifications

Ideally Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar acceptable qualification and hold RICS Chartered status.

· Check joint measurements taken by Inspectors and Land Surveyors during inspection of Requests for Approvals and use them in interim payments for on-account payment.

· Compute final account taking into consideration all variations, amount expanded from Provisional Sums.

· Maintain progress schedule and cash flow chart.

· Assist in preparation of Change Orders and Variation Orders.

· Assist in evaluating claims.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5+ years demonstrable experience in in Materials and Quality Control on major road, highway and general infrastructure projects preferably in the Gulf region.
Emphasis on Quality Assurance Specifications and Statistical Quality Control.
Should be able to review and justify the material submissions analyze laboratory and technical reports, carry out acceptance sampling plans, testing and quality measures, ensuring the compliance with the project’s Specifications.
Must have a sound knowledge about contractual relationships.

Maintain a detailed diary of the day’s work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operation, labor and equipment used, etc. and sign at the end of each day.
Interface with the public, especially residents and business owners adjacent to the work to mitigate the construction impacts.

Coordinate with the contractor’s foreman in charge of the work on a daily basis to advice on the proper execution of the work.
Coordinate with the Materials Inspector and arrange for sampling and testing of satisfactorily completed work, and quality assurance testing of suspect materials.
Coordinate with the Surveyors to check the line and grade of completed work for conformance with the plans and specifications.
Report questionable methods of operation by the Contractor to the concerned Engineer.

Take measurement of works inspected.
Maintain records of completed works for interim and final payment and as-built plans.

Be fair and firm in dealings with the Contractor. Consider alternatives and consequences carefully before making decisions.

The project will feature 2 million square feet of leasable space spread over ground and first floor levels, comprising c.650 retail and F&B outlets, three major family entertainment centres, a 20-screen Cineplex, a hypermarket, and outdoor events area.

2.The mall will deliver modern ”industrial chic” architecture and interior design and will provide over 50 F&B offerings across two levels with external terraces to maximise the integration with the adjoining Expo Plaza Park, an urban green park of multi-recreational and sports usage. Tenancy Coordination & Delivery/Project Management Services:

The scope of services to be performed by the Service Provider shall include as a minimum:

a) Ensure all works pertaining to the retail unit fit out and handover of the trading units to The Dubai Mall Operational Team are completed on time and to the required standards.
b) Ensure nominated unit is ready for handover prior to tenant commencement.
c) Management of all pre-handover contractor briefing, meetings and minutes of the same
d) Ensure all tenancy fit outs are in-line with the approved drawings and project standards
e) Carry out daily on-site inspections and fit out progress monitoring reporting
f) On-going monitoring of the fit out phase to ensure attendance, programme, compliance, health and safety and quality standards are met
g) Ensure on-going tenancy issues are resolved
h) Ensure all fit out base building queries are issued to Emaar Development Project Consultants for action & clarification

Job Summary

AECOM are seeking an experienced Land Surveyor for a project located in Dubai. The role involves both surveying and the supervision of infrastructure services works of the project. To ensure that the activities are being executed in accordance with the project specification.

Job Duties:

Perform survey work under the direction and guidance of the Assistant Resident Engineer.

Establish primary horizontal and vertical control points including reference ties for re-establishing the points in the field.

Supervise survey party staff.

Record all measurements, rod readings and calculations neatly and accurately in field books as the work progresses.

Coordinate with the Contractor’s surveyor on work priorities and schedules.

Check all work by completing traverse closures and bench circuits.

Report discrepancies or technical problems to the Assistant Resident Engineer.

Perform joint measurements of the completed work or payment.

Check completed work for conformance to the line and grade required by the project plans in coordination with the Inspector assigned to the item of work.

Perform regular checks of the Contractor’s setting out to verify proper execution and accuracy.

Maintain equipment in proper condition and perform frequent calibration checks.

Specific Skills Required:

Strong Construction supervision experiences on infrastructure projects.

Well experienced in the construction field.

Ability to utilize modern computer software and survey equipment. High level of critical thinking skills.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 8 years of experience within similar projects

Middle East experience preferred

Relevant experience in comparable Roads and Highways projects

Familiarity with utilities, road and highways related works is required.

Previous Dubai Municipality and/or RTA approval is preferred
