Key Purpose

On shift work to undertake PPM and reactive works of all MEP assets and equipment as directed by the MEP Supervisor whilst adhering to work order instructions and standard operating procedures in compliance with HSE and QA/QC policies. Carry out PPM’s and Reactive repairs to meet KPI’s, statutory requirements and customer satisfaction.

Coordinate with sub-contractors and stakeholders as per maintenance schedule.

Key accountabilities

Carry out operation, maintenance and repair activities on a shift work basis for all MEP related assets in order to guarantee safety, integrity and reliability of the assets.
Provide operation and maintenance activities in-line with best industry practice and O&M manuals.
Complete weekly inspection of all works to ensure quality of work.
Carry out activities in accordance with Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures.
Perform self-inspection of all work and to ensure conformance to planned maintenance and repair requirements.
Conform to all necessary internal and/or external approvals before, during and after maintenance and repair work including Permit to Work and Lockout / Tag-out procedures.
Monitor and collate meter readings and update records as required.
Integrate and communicate effectively with other trade staff and Supervisor as required.

Key purpose

The purpose of the position is to be able to carry out the operation and maintenance of the BMS (Building Management System) and the associated building services system controls equipment for all of the plant and systems contained in and around the premises.

Carry out allocated planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and remedial repairs on building services mechanical engineering systems and associated equipment.

Customer

Carry out servicing plans, monitor, maintain, rectify and/or repair mechanical systems and services and update records on a daily basis.

Perform duties according to the Duty Roster prepared by the Director of Security or in his absence, the Assistant Director of Security. The Security Officer may be deployed at any of the following Duty Posts as enumerated thereafter:

Participating in special functions or operations conducted or organized by the Hotel for VVIPS, shows, etc., and private organization or individual having official business connected with the Hotel.
Keeping the Duty Shift Security Supervisor, Assistant Operations Manager, Assistant Director and Director of Security constantly posted on all matters of security interest affecting the Hotel and the Department.
Conduction regular and periodical checks and taking immediate follow-up action to rectify faults, damage, etc., detailed in the following:
“Perimeter defence” – All fire exit doors, link doors, etc., leading INTO or OUT of the Hotel and which are fitted with locking devices or alarm systems to ensure that they are in good working condition as an effective measure against trespassers and pilferage;
Security CCTV equipment – Inspecting the CCTV Operations Room to ensure that all equipment is in working order and all cameras are correctly focused.
Attending the briefing session that shall take place thirty (30) minutes before the commencement of each shift.
Attending approval courses conducted by the Hotel Training Department.
Attending meeting and in-service training conducted by the Department. Attendance shall be compulsory except those on official duty.

Summary: Safety Risk Assessment Carry out assessment of all safety incident and accident reports received through ROSI relating to airworthiness matters or any other report including domestic or international critical safety issues, and finally develop aviation safety promotional packages in coordination with GCAA functional area, in particular Airworthiness. Provide safety risk assessments of the impact of non-compliance to regulatory and operational requirements on airworthiness matters. Provide assistance to GCAA Airworthiness to conduct hazard identification and risk management to enhance safety performance. Review safety issues, trends, data and reports sourced from the UAE aviation industry, the Air Accident Investigation department, on airworthiness matters and identify risks and mitigation actions. Review and provide comments or participate in any safety study done internally or externally that contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of GCAA Safety processes and practices while taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, and productivity improvement relating to airworthiness of aircraft. Perform other duties as directed by the Manager – SRM Safety Promotion Develop safety promotion materials in order to provide support in the safety awareness and campaign program of the Safety Affairs Sector relating to airworthiness of aircraft. Communication Communicate and coordinate with the functional areas concerned to establish and recommend risk management tolerances and other safety recommendations. State Safety Program Provide support in the preparation and update of approved changes on the State Safety Program to ensure that all revisions are properly recorded and relayed to all concerned departments. Support the department in the definition of target safety KPIs and monitor its achievement in order to make the necessary recommendations for corrective action. Safety Affairs Arrange and participate in Aviation Industry Safety events and other safety studies on airworthiness matters in coordination with relevant stake holders in order to represent the department in various activities and risk mitigation planning. Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures Develop and recommend mitigation strategies on policies, processes, procedures and instructions, after carrying out risk assessment, to all aviation stakeholders and monitor their adherence so that works are carried out in a controlled manner. Continuous Improvement Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of SRM section systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes and productivity improvement. Safety, Quality and Environment Comply with all relevant GCAA safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures.
